My DT Card for The Crafter's Cafe Challenge Blog

This month at The Crafter's Cafe Challenge Blog, our sponsor was Digital Delights.

Our theme this month is to use Ribbon or Lace. For my first project of the month, I chose to use this adorable little angel image that Digital Delights was so generous to share with us.
She is just sitting here looking nice and cute, so I colored her with Copics and CTMH markers. I only have like 6 Copics. My skin colored one gets used most often, then I have a light blue one which I used for the wings here. I also have a red and a couple greys. These are the colors you need people! LOL

I used my Star Jelly Roller pen to glitter her up a bit. If you don't have one of those pens, you need one, trust me! They add just the right amount of sparkle to your project. I have used it to glitz up stickers, rub ons, buttons, and even ribbon. So I shimmered up this little Angels wings and the scallop border on her dress with my pen. I used Stickles on her bows and a gold Spica pen on the halo.  You may notice the twine on the I of HI. Well let me tell you a secret....Its not really an I. I didn't have any more I's in my stash so I cut another letter into an I and then disguised the little imperfection with some twine. It works!
For my flowers, the big one used to be plain white. But I spritzed it up with my Glimmer Mist sprays. I have a ton of them and I love them but I don't use them quite as often as I would like. So it is sprayed with 3 different colored mists to get the right shade of funky shimmery green that I wanted. The other two flowers from Creative Memories, were already colored and I just spritzed them a little to give them a shimmer and some watery spots. I think they turned out cute and fit together nicely with a pearly brad in the center.

The challenge was to use Ribbon or Lace, so I found a felt scalloped ribbon in my stash that matched my pattern papers pretty well. I cut the circle, that my little Angel is sitting on, with my Cricut. I have like 3 carts that I use quite often and I just love putting pretty little cut shapes on cards. The papers are from some little paper stacks that I have gotten from Archiver's and JoAnns recently. They are in 4x6 or 6x6 sizes. Just perfect for cardmaking! They coordinate super well with the ton of different patterns that come in each stack so go get some if you haven't already!
Well thanks for checking out my DT creation for TCCCB this week! I will be using a different Digital Delights image for my second card of the month so don't forget to come back on week 4 to see it!
